Connor Swain and Michael Kovacs tied with the most points for the team during the season, 36 to be exact. Swain with an impressive 22 goals and Kovacs with 22 assists.

With 3 points earned through 2 games, the Eagles currently sit in first place in the Cullimore Division. Their opponent tonight, the Mitchell Mustangs. Only one point behind in the standings, and a game in hand, the Mustangs are nipping at their heels. With the top 3 teams in each division earning a spot in the Lightning Cup Playoffs, this first of 2 meetings between these teams could hold huge playoff implications for these division rivals.

The Blue Crew earned a big win over their rival River Ridge on their first game of the season where they had momentous support from their extensive fan base in the stands cheering them on. Justin Garr has taken over the title of lead scorer while James Belczyk has maintained an .957 goals against average. The Eagles may have their work cut out for them tonight, as Mitchell scored 11 goals during their last game.

The inaugural season of the Lightning High School Hockey League started just last week with one more team added to the rotation. East Lake will take on the Mitchell Mustangs tonight at 9pm at TBSA.
